Presentation Skills

and the use of AI

Presenting well requires a clear purpose, a coherent message and a delivery style that engages the audience. Participants learn to set objectives, structure a presentation, develop an effective opening, use visual aids and practise confident delivery.

AI can be useful during preparation: it can help test an outline against the audience’s likely questions, suggest ways to simplify a complex point or critique a draft slide. Participants will assess those suggestions and shape their own material. They will then practise the parts of presenting that require live awareness, including emphasis, timing, questions and adapting to the room.

Course objectives:

  • Set clear objectives and identify what the audience needs to understand or do
  • Build a logical structure, engaging opening and clear key messages
  • Use AI to explore alternative structures, examples or likely audience questions and select what is genuinely useful
  • Develop visual aids that support the message, checking AI-assisted content and sources
  • Practise confident delivery, pace and positive presentation behaviours
  • Respond to questions and adapt the presentation to the audience in real time
